Photographer Edwina Richards and Creative Producer Christopher Saunders collaborated on a photographic community storytelling project in Singleton and surrounding towns. Each portrait was made against a traveling white backdrop in locations that were important to the sitter. In this way we brought the white walls of a gallery outside and paid homage to a rich tradition of street studio portrait photography.

Images were displayed in a variety of ways. Some popped up in surprising places in the form of paste-ups and others were in traditional gallery settings. We are Singleton was commissioned to mark the opening of the new Singleton Arts and Cultural Centre in 2022. A coffee table book is being developed.
